New Site – Update

So I’m working on my new WordPress *site* — not blog — it’s run on my own server. So it will be bandwidth-wise a little bit slow, but it will be easier for me to customize and more flexible. And, we get our own forums.

Most importantly – the domain http://nfshs.it.cx DOES STILL WORK, and probably will continue to, except now I’m considering using http://hscentral.it.cx as my main domain. I can’t call a High Stakes website “NFS High Stakes Unofficial Website”… it needed a title so it will be HSCentral, and that should be your primary way to reach it.

pretty much all my high stakes blogs and forums are useless now… because I am creating a brand new High Stakes website with forums and uploading capabilities.

Now bear with me – there is nothing at all yet, but it will be done sometime this summer!!

There isn’t much new. FM HS MOD IS STILL OFFLINE. It is NOT downloadable, and I’m terribly sorry, but I have to sort out permissions for over half of the cars among other bugs in the installer and new versions of T3ED Mixer etc. so it will be a while, and rather than simply updating fm36 or adding an fm36b, I will update and release FM4 eventually. I have not stopped working on the mod. I still am, check my forums for the latest info. I’m just starting out with car candidates, if you have any suggestions please let us know!

It’s not great news. Sorry. That’s the best I can do right now… and if anyone wants to donate a 50GB IDE hard drive, I’d love it… lol (read the post and you’ll see what I mean)

Contrary to popular belief, I’m still working on FM HS Mod, if just a little.

I know it has been a LONG time since my last release and I’ve switched computers and power supplies and been crammed with work and assignments. The next version of the FM Mod will be FM4 and I’m hoping to release it this summer.

Any of you that are relying on this blog for news should check my forums. They are updated almost daily and it’s easier for me to respond to your questions. Please visit the forums at http://nfshs.myfastforum.org/

Merry Christmas to all here today!!

A little software Christmas Present for you all, FM HS Mod 3.5. There are great new features

New in This Release:

- Installer Image

- Bug Fixes (too many to list )

- More Cars have Dashboards (ex: Crown Victorias)

- All cars WILL have police speech sounds – they are uploaded separately this time to save space

- All cars have vidwalls

- All tracks have loading slides AND VidWalls

- Many car / track changes… new Dolphin Cove replacement!!

FM HS Mod V3.4 Updated

A quick announcement – if you’ve download V3.4 BEFORE 12/19/2009 (or on it, to be safe), you’ll have to re-download it. If you’ve downloaded it between NOW (4:50 PM CST on 12/21/2009) and 12/19/2009, then simply do this to update your mod: (this assumes you’ve loaded the FM HS Mod Carlist)

- Open NFS HS Mixer, then open Car Manager (Cars Menu –> Car Manager)

- [Left-Click once and then] Right-Click the car “Bonus: Pursuit SL55 AMG”, and click Open Car Folder

- Open car.viv with NFSWizard (nfstoolbox.suckosaurus.dk is where you can download it), and open the “FEDATA.ENG” file.

- Change the option “Bonus Car” from “No” to “Yes”, and close everything and Save.

- Back in the Car Manager, recalculate the checksums (Data menu), and reload the FM HS Mod carlist. Then, finally, check off the Bonus Pursuit SL55 again, and save the carlist. Quit Mixer and you’re done!

So, basically, this update fixes the fact that the Pursuit SL55 wasn’t recognized as a bonus car, giving you no reason to win all the Getaway pursuit modes . Or if it would be more convenient for you, just redownload the installer.

FM HS Mod V3.4 Released + Final Update

V3.4 is set to go… Sorry, it’s been up for a while, but I didn’t want to let you all know until I was sure about this. Anyway, it’s all good now!

New in This Release:

- Installer Bugfixes

- Career Mode Bugfixes

- Fixed Driver Movements in Ford Falcon Upgrades

- Updated Porsche 911 (993)’s to V2 by NJ (XJ220). Thanks for V2, Nils!!

- New CarCAD Shattering-style damage on many of the XJ220 cars

- Everything’s working great!

- More carlist changes, sorry. Got rid of the 190 E’s and put in some GearFX cars

- All tracks have loading slides

- Minor bugfixes, new Firebird replacement finally (thank Abyss!)

- Installation bugfixes, you probably didn’t even notice them, but all’s good now

- Somewhat reduced size at 115 MB, highly compressed
